Manly Vale FC members – RUOK?

To all our Members,

As you’ll all be aware, FFA has suspended all grassroots Football due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

FFA along with FNSW and MWFA will continue to monitor the situation and will re-assess on April 22.

We are a long established club that have found our way through many issues with the support of our Members and willing band of volunteers.

Of course the current situation is unprecedented and tough. We know many of you are doing it tough, some have been stood down from their jobs and face an uncertain future, many are worried about their family and friends. These will be tough times as we face many challenges as a society, as lovers of football and as a Club.

All our players, parents, managers, coaches and committee (there are around 1,200 of us registered to play this season) are disappointed that we won’t be able to play football for a while, but we know that in the interest of everyone’s health that it was a sensible decision.

Our committee who are also facing disruption in their family and working lives, are navigating unprecedented times for our players and Community.

So at this time we want to reach out to you all and see if we can help those of you who are doing it tough. The community has to help support each other through these times and as a club with a reputation for caring about its members we want to hear from you if you are in need of help.

We don’t yet have answers to the two questions most people are asking:

  • When will we be able to play football?
  • What happens to my registration fees if the season is reduced or cancelled?

We are liaising with MWFA and all the other clubs on these questions and will keep you updated. Our primary means of communication are our Private Facebook page and our website

Also, we’d like to thank our sponsors. Steyne Hotel, CSS Energy solutions, Doctor Move Transports, Seaforth Physio and Maloufs Manly Pharmacy.

These are local companies who are doing it tough and we would ask you to give them your support.

Hopefully, the football will be back sooner rather than later.

Stay safe, stay home, wash your hands, look after yourself and your loved ones, but reach out to us if we can help you.
